This cemetery is located in Section 11, Rockford Township and is southeast of Loveland on a graveled road about two miles. You then turn east about a half mile on a “dead end” spur. The cemetery is on top of a hill, but quite level. It is surrounded by a wooded area to the north and west and cleared to the south and east. It is well kept and active.
The first transfer found was in Book 8, 1895, page 260 and read “to Rockford Township from (no name) four acres in SE corner of NE 1/4, Section 11 – Cemetery.”
In 1885, the county atlas indicated the land surrounding this site was owned by B. F. Palmer and Mary Kenyon.
