In the 1885 Pottawattamie County Atlas, a Danish church was located in the NE corner of the NW 1/4 of NW 1/4, Township 77 N, Range 43 W, Boomer Township.
From Highway L 34, go west on a graveled road that passes right by St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, on the south side of the road.
The following is taken from the Church Centennial Book of 1981: “On January 13, 1883, a congregational meeting was held. They decided to buy two acres of land from Mr. Lars Rasmussen to be used for a church and a cemetery. The price was $25.00 per acre and the congregation to be responsible for installation and upkeep of the fence around the cemetery.
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery is well kept and active.
